KPIs
and Staff Appraisal System
Traditionally,
staff performance is assessed in a subjective manner, depending mostly on judgement and feeling of
appraiser towards appraisee. In addition, appraisal criteria
revolve around skills rather than
results. Very often, organisations end up rewarding and retaining the wrong
people, dragging along with it productivity and profitability.
Some
companies use KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) but the KPIs are not linked to the staff appraisal
score and therefore the link between KPI achievement and rewards is not
clear. Or, the KPIs are not quantitative and measurable,
making appraisal subjective.
KPIs should be
based on the individual staff's job scope and responsibilities, and linked
to the organisation's Vision, Mission, Goals and Strategies.
Let us help
you identify the right KPIs that can motivate your staff to perform
exactly the way you want him or her to, and bring both the staff and
organistion to the next level of growth. We will also integrate the
developed KPIs into your staff appraisal score and system.
